Penguin Publishers ("we", "us", "our") operates the website penguinpublishers.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this Site. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@penguinpublishers.co.uk or by post at One Embassy Gardens, 8 Viaduct Gardens, Nine Elms, London SW11 7BW, United Kingdom.
When you submit an enquiry form (including our quote and consultation forms), we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the service and genre you select, and your message.
To understand how visitors find us, our forms also record the page you submitted from, the page you first landed on (including any campaign parameters such as UTM tags or advertising click identifiers in the address), and the referring website. Our server also records your IP address when a form is submitted, which helps us prevent spam and abuse.
This Site uses Google Tag Manager and associated analytics and advertising tags to measure how the Site is used and how our advertising performs. These services may set cookies or similar technologies in your browser. We also use LiveChat to provide live chat support; if you use the chat, the messages you send and related technical data are processed by LiveChat to deliver that service.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect parts of the Site such as live chat.
Your enquiry details are delivered by email to our team and trusted partners who handle enquiries on our behalf. We use third-party service providers to operate the Site and our communications, including our web hosting provider, our email provider (Zoho Mail), Google (Tag Manager, analytics and advertising) and LiveChat. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
We do not sell your personal data.
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting engagement, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records. You can ask us to delete your enquiry data at any time (see section 7).
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), you have rights including: to access the personal data we hold about you; to have inaccurate data corrected; to request deletion; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email info@penguinpublishers.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through the Site, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page applies from the "Last updated" date shown above.
